NATIONAL COMPETITION

1.   Grand Prix „Golden Shepherd“ for Best National Film: „THE FEAST IN GORNJE LJUBINJE“, by Zarko  Joksimovic;

2.   „Silver Shepherd“ for Best Ethnological Record: OUR PEOPLE, by Svetlana Miljanic, RTV;

3.   „Silver Shepherd“ for Best Direction: THE REJECTS“, by Aleksandar Reljic, RTV;

4.   „Silver Shepherd“ for Best Script:  “IT’S EASIER TO LIE IF YOU ASK FOR ME“, by Jelena Bozovic, RTS – Uzice;

5.    „Silver Shepherd“ for Best Camera: to Zelimir Tot, for “VOJVODINA IN LENS OF RADIVOJE SIMONOVIĆ”, by   Borislav Hlozan, RTV;

6.   „Silver Shepherd“ for Best Editing: to  Predrag Todorovic, for “VINTAGE STAMPED EMBROIDERY”, TV Center, Svilajnac;

7.   „Silver Shepherd“ for Best Amateur Film:  “TALKS ALONG THE ROAD – family of Bora Nikolic in Komiric”, by Dobrivoje & Dobrila Pantelic, Tri D, Donje Brezovice;

 

INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION

8.   „Golden Shepherd“ and the Charter “Cedric Dallier” for Best Foreign Film:  “UZU”, by Gaspard Kuentz, JAPAN; for mastery in the use of cinema language in rendering young participants’ deep commitment toa fierce religious ritual;

9.   „Silver Shepherd“ for Foreign Film: “TARIKAT”, by  Jasmijn Schrofer, NETHERLANDS; for an elegantly composed visual poem introducing the viewerstothe subtle levels of transcendence experienced by a female participant in a Sufi ritual.

The Jury also assigns:

1.   Special Recognition: to Zvezdana Stanojevic,  the author of “NUNTA;

2.   Special Recognition to the ethnologists Gordana Pajic, Dragan Cicvaric and Bogdan Sekaric;

3.   Special Recognition: to Jennifer Degerand Paul Gurrumuruwuy authors of THERINGTONE,from AUSTRALIA, for their inventiveness and fine humour while investigating the cultural and social consequences of using modern communication technologies within an Aboriginal community;

4.   Special Recognition: to Gudmund and Haakon Sand, for „LEGACY“, from DENMARK/NORWAY, for their perceptive, balancedand slightlyself-ironic treatment of the controversial and violent aspects of their own culture;

5.   Special Recognition: to Florian Vallée from BELGIUM, for his film THE FIGHTERS OF THE HOLY HAIR, for a nuanced playing with the elements of absurdity in the festive culture of his hometown.
